Information under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)
Privacy Policy
I respect your privacy. Here I explain in plain words what information this website collects, why, for how long, and what rights you have.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Konstantinos Politis. For any question or request about your data, you may write to politis.0905@gmail.com.
2. What data is collected
- From the registration form: full name, email, phone (optional), musical experience, the information options you tick and your message.
- From browsing: anonymous visit statistics (e.g. which pages are read), collected by the hosting platform.
I do not ask for or collect sensitive data (health, religious or political beliefs, etc.).
3. For what purpose
- To contact you about the Music Workshop, the courses, the lectures and cultural activities.
- To send you a newsletter or notices of concerts, only if you have chosen to receive them.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the relevant box on the form and may withdraw at any time.
4. Who has access
Your data is not sold, rented or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. It is stored on the website’s hosting platform (WordPress.com / Automattic Inc.), which acts as processor with appropriate safeguards for transfers of data outside the EU. The website embeds videos from YouTube; when you play them, Google’s privacy policy also applies.
5. For how long
I keep your data for as long as you take part in the activities or until you ask for it to be deleted. If there has been no contact for two years, it is deleted.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, to object, and to withdraw your consent. An email to politis.0905@gmail.com is enough; I will reply within one month.
If you believe your data is not being properly protected, you may lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1–3 Kifisias Avenue, 115 23 Athens, Greece).
7. Cookies
The website uses only the essential functional and statistics cookies of the WordPress.com platform, together with those set by YouTube when you play a video. You can manage or delete them in your browser settings.
8. “Didache”, the AI assistant
On politisk.gr and programma.politisk.gr you can talk to “Didache”, a digital assistant based on an artificial intelligence system. It answers questions about the courses, registration and the psaltic art. Its answers are generated automatically and may contain mistakes.
- What you write: to compose a reply, your messages are sent to Didache’s server (Cloudflare) and to Anthropic’s Claude AI model. The server does not store the text of conversations. Anthropic deletes it automatically within 30 days and does not use it to train its models. Please do not share sensitive personal data.
- On your device: the conversation is kept only in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. Didache uses no cookies.
- Listen: when you press “Listen”, the text of the answer is sent to the Microsoft Azure speech service (data centres in Sweden, within the EU), which returns the audio. No data about you is sent.
- Dictation: when you press the microphone, your browser’s own speech service (e.g. Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari) turns your voice into text, under its own terms. Didache receives only the text.
- Contact: if you ask to be contacted, Didache first asks for your explicit consent. Your name, email, phone (if given) and subject are then emailed to politis.0905@gmail.com through the FormSubmit service, solely so that I can reply. The rights in section 6 apply.
